Point and Shoot - 2010 Street Photos

These pictures were taken before I even had my DSLR. We were strolling around Manila, from our house in Tayuman, Tondo to Quiapo until Intramuros. I used Sony Cybershot in shooting these photos.

TAYUMAN, TONDO

PEEKING

This was taken from my grandmother's house in Tayuman, Tondo.

STAIRS

Old school stairs are normally made up of Narra, and according to my grandfather before he passed, just like any other old house, this was also made up of one.

INTRAMUROS

Little Passenger

I remember, I was excited the first time I saw this picture. This actually affirmed my desire of being a photographer as I have captured this at a perfect time.

Horse

The whole goal here is to take a picture of the Kalesa but since I'm in a moving vehicle, the effect got altered. Amazing enough it is a lot better than how I intended it to be.

Kids Day Out

Man is most nearly himself when he achieves the seriousness of a child at play.

Children are really fun to work with. They are funny, unassuming, innocent and we can get beautiful pictures just by merely watching them play.

Kid waiting for her mom to get her something to eat... She was looking at me while I am setting up my cam...

MINIONS!!!! - unassuming kid playing with her minion.

The Following photos are taken from ATC... I found inspiration in those kids running around the fountain, somewhere in the middle of the mall...

Merry-Go-Round *surreal version*

These two girls are special. They came with no parents. They approached me shortly after taking their pictures. Apparently, they also like being photographed... :)

Someday, somehow, I hope I could also take pictures of my own kid(s) but that is quite far fetched at the moment. Meantime, I will continue to find happiness in the eyes of the innocent and have fun capturing those priceless smiles! :)

SURREAL PHOTOS - FIRST ATTEMPT

Perturbedness

Unimaginable pain.

TIME MOVES

The thing about time and memories:  You can only look back at what you have lost but you can never go back to relive what was gone

THE REALITY OF LOVE

This is how reality feels like when you're in love... it feels like you're on a different high, not until you find out about the lies...

Experiment and Result

This is my very first attempt to take photos for publishing. I am merely a beginner, trying to make something amazing from the things that one sees everyday.

I used Nikon D90 on each of these photos. Again, let me reiterate that this is my first attempt to publish, although I've had my my camera for about 2 years now.

PART ONE

The first 4 pictures were shot on my room:

WATCH YOUR BACK:

This is quite simple. It depicts betrayal and paranoia. You always have to watch whose going to get you.

PRAISE

This is a typical sign of faith for Filipinos.

THE SHOOTER

I aspire to be a film photographer and I am also preparing to restore my Dad's camera. This is his Minolta X 700 that I am planning to use when I learn all about it.

LA FAMILIA

Old photographs displayed somewhere in our house, including my parent's wedding picture, graduation picture of me and my sister, and a picture of my niece Elisha.

PART TWO

The next few shots are taken at Alabang Town Center. These are just some random pictures that I have taken as I walk along the mall. Pardon me for not putting a caption on every single picture.

STREET VENDORS

STREETS OF LAS PINAS

FUN IN THE FOUNTAIN

This is what I saw when I arrived at the center of the mall. I've always loved kids and watching them play on the fountain is quite an ecstatic feeling.

RANDOM POSING

THE PIANIST

MR ROD MANUBAY

I was walking along the area of Marks and Spencer a year back when I happened to stop and watch an old man play. He is Mr. Rod Manubay and I am not afraid to say that I am a big fan. You can normally see him at the new wing of ATC piano on Saturdays.

So there.. My very first shooters blog.. Hope to post more soon...
